HOW PAVE ADVERTISING DISCOVERED
THE POWER OF TIME-TRACKING
PAVE Advertising + Design is a
multi-disciplinary creative agency
in North Carolina.
Realizing their need for increased efficiency, they
began looking for an agency management application.
They wanted to capture project information
such as time and expenses so they could track staff
efficiency and compare estimates to actual costs.
"We were using a cumbersome, database-driven
system," says Keith Vest, Co-founder of PAVE, "And
we realized we needed something that suited
our needs better."
PAVE employees put their heads together and
discussed the systems they had used at previous
jobs." The consensus seemed to be that most
solutions were very expensive and too complex
for our needs at the time," says Vest.
The company embarked on an extensive web search
for project management software, and unearthed
TimeFox. They had a look at the Demo and experimented
with the Trial version before deciding that
TimeFox's simple interface and ease of use merited
a switch from their antiquated system.
"A strong point in favor of TimeFox was the
subscription-based fee structure. It allowed us
to make the switch without the front-end costs
associated with changing software," says Vest,
"TimeFox helped make our company more
efficient. And it only takes one extra billable hour
a month to pay for our monthly fee."
Once they'd subscribed and had started using
TimeFox, they had lots of questions for the

having direct access to the developers instead
of having to talk to an anonymous help desk or
third party reseller. It made the transition very
smooth," says Vest.
It took an average of 3 days for staff to be trained
and comfortable with the new system. Project lists
and timesheets are always up to date, and reporting
is easy to figure out. "It's an application we actually
use," says Vest, "Which is a huge difference from our
previous program."
