Who owns the Data?
You own all your data. FunctionFox provides secure, reliable access to
your data and stores it for you, backing it up continually so it is
always safe and current.
Because we know how vital your sensitive, private information is to
the success of your business, we are determined to keep it secure
against any unauthorized access whatsoever.
You can download whatever information you need, from a single time
entry to a complete record of all your information, any time you wish,
as often as you need it; monthly, weekly or even daily.
Does FunctionFox look at or share my proprietary data?
No. FunctionFox does not view, analyze, share or otherwise access the
proprietary data entered by any of its customers.
No employee of FunctionFox is able to access customer information
without the customer's express permission. Occasionally, a customer
may allow access to proprietary information in order to resolve a
support or technical difficulty.
Only customer service representatives and technicians are able to access
customer information once permission has been received from the customer.
FunctionFox customer service is located off-site, on a different network
than is used by all other FunctionFox employees. No other FunctionFox
employee has access to the customer service network.
FunctionFox uses secure servers located off site, to which only our
technicians have access.
Passwords are changed regularly to prevent unauthorized access by anyone to any
information stored by FunctionFox for its customers.
Customers are encouraged to change their passwords and usernames on a
regular basis.
The data storage facility has been designed to provide the highest level
of security; protection against fire, flood and earthquake;
and has full power backup.
Data is backed up on large servers continuously, and backed up to tape
every 24 hours.
When you back my information up on tape, what happens to the tape?
FunctionFox uses taped backups for the sole purpose of restoring
service if needed. The tapes are kept securely offsite. Only
FunctionFox technicians have access to the tapes, and then only to
ensure that the backup system is working properly.
What if I decide I want FunctionFox to destroy my information?
If you no longer wish FunctionFox to store your information, your
organization is deleted from our database. When the organization is
deleted, all information associated with it is also eliminated. Within
24 hours, all data about your organization, as well as any entries you
have made when using TimeFox no longer exists in our active database or
our tape backups.
Where is my data stored?
To ensure that its services are available on a 24/7 basis, FunctionFox
uses the latest servers and backup systems, hosted in a professional,
secure facility served by OC-48 fiber pipes. This set-up has been
designed from the start to be robust and highly scalable to accommodate
rapid growth in customer use without degradation of service. It is
modular in design and replacement hardware units are at hand whenever
needed.

How often is my data backed up?

Who sets up the company information (employees, clients, projects, and tasks)?
Set up is so easy that anyone can handle it. Usually, one person will
enter client, job, and personnel information, and as jobs come in and
new clients appear, any manager, administrator, employee or other user
may be assigned this small task.
Does TimeFox use terminology and "buzz words" that I won't understand?
We've used terms and names that are commonly accepted in this industry,
and have included a glossary that defines each of them. We also offer
you the option of changing terms to ones that are common in your company.
