FunctionFox is First Contributor to Graphic Design Benevolent FundJune 29, 2001 In a ground-breaking agreement with the Graphic Designers of Canada (GDC), FunctionFox Systems, Inc. has agreed to donate a percentage of sales of the application TimeFox to the national GDC Benevolent fund. The Benevolent fund will be used for the aid and support of GDC members in need; specific details are still being developed. FunctionFox is the creator of "TimeFox", a secure, online time-tracking and reporting application for smaller creative companies. TimeFox was launched and demonstrated at a special reception for GDC members, on June 14. Instead of creating a discount for GDC members, FunctionFox Systems Inc. will donate 5% of GDC member sales to a GDC Marketing Development Fund, of which a minimum of 10% will go toward the establishment of a Benevolent Fund for the support and care of GDC members. "FunctionFox has paved the way to get our national benevolent fund off to a solid start," says Peggy Cady, GDC National Vice President of Membership. "This is a considerable contribution to the graphic design profession in Canada, and we are truly grateful for the largesse of FunctionFox. Their desire to give something back to the community coincides with the proposal for our benevolent fund brought forward by David Berman, the GDC Ethics Chair."
